The delightful Restaurang Sjökanten on Hasselö is beautifully located in the courtyard at Slågaudden’s old carpenter’s house and boathouse, 2.5 km south of Hasselö Sand. In this authentic environment, delicious lunch buffets and well-composed evening menus are served, with fish from the farm’s own fishermen and locally grown products from Småland’s archipelago and hinterland, which can be enjoyed with a nice cool drink. Next to the restaurant, which is right beside the water, there is a sauna and hot tub, which can be rented all year round.
During the summer, Sjökanten is open for lunch seven days a week and for evening bookings offering three-course menus several nights a week. During other times, between May and October, Sjökanten is also open for booked groups, conferences and festive occasions! Note that you always have to pre-book a table in the evenings. During lunchtimes, a table reservation is not needed, but to ensure space is available for you, it is recommend!
You can reach the lake either on foot or on a rented bicycle from Hasselö Sand. It is also possible to book Göran’s Remmarlag - an open-sided wagon pulled by a motorised vehicle either a quad bike or a tractor! You can also travel on our day excursion "Experience Hasselö and Sladö" including boat trip (return by tractor and cart) or bicycle and lunch at the lakeside restaurant Restaurang Sjökanten (price SEK 395 per adult and SEK 200 per child).
