Västervik and Loftahammar. Activities and experiences for the whole family – all year round. Hasselö has a child-friendly sandy beach and a varied landscape with a 9 km long traffic-free dirt road. The island is idyllic and can be explored on foot, by bike or on a tractor and trailer. During the summer you can travel to Hasselö by skerry boat from Loftahammar or Västervik and all year round there are regular trips available by taxi boat.
Hasselö Youth Hostel is open all year round and also offers conference facilities and pleasant comfortable accommodation. On the beach there is a general store with a café and a guest harbour which is open during the summer; bicycles and kayaks are also available to rent. A few kilometres away is the restaurant Sjökanten, set in a genuine fishing environment. A little bit further away is the neighbouring island and the nature reserve Sladö, where you can purchase fish and stroll around in the open grazing land among pollarded lime trees with a view of the horizon.
