Live in Nature, Icelandic horses

  • Category: Inland & coast
  • Section: Activities

At Live In Nature, you may try riding on the well-behaved Icelandic horses together with a riding instructor. Whether you are an accomplished rider or you are a beginner, we will find the appropriate riding level for you. Groups are put together based on riding experience so that beginners are in their own group and those with a little more experience are in another group. You ride for two hours with a break for coffee. Take your own refreshments with you, if the weather is inclement, we can take a break at Tentipibyn (Tentipi village) afterwards.  You ride out into the fantastic scenery across mountains, forests and next to lakes. This wonderful scenic riding trip will be a journey that everyone will remember.

It is your responsibility to care for the horse after the ride.

If there are many people on the trip, there are always two riding instructors.

For the safety of all riders, safety and practical knowledge is taken up before the trip starts.

Safety vests available for children. Shoes are also available if you lack appropriate footwear. Waterproof capes are also available if required.

Shorter trips can be arranged.

We did the Birchwood Track last week. We have never been on a horse before, but this was absolutely no problem. The track was much more than we expected, right through the bushes, on muddy ground, later galopping up the hill, what a great experience. Highly recommended, one of the best days of our holidays! And a big "thanx!" to Justus, who gave us the first (but surely not the last...) riding lessons in our life!
